A life long Austinite with almost 20 years of surveying experience, Stephen Smith has always been an avid photographer.  Now he and his son, Nicholas, combine technical expertise, attention to detail and creativity to provide virtual home or business tours that are flattering as well as accurate in depicting the floorplans.  With over 2000 tours completed, they can provide the fast, reliable service you need.

Stephen's description of their work:

After an appointment is made, one of the most important things we can do is show up before the appointed time.  Everyone's time is extremely valuable.   While I photograph the exterior of the house, Nicholas begins to measure and draw on grid paper the interior of the house. If a floor plan or builder's plans exists, we can take a picture.  Drawing the house is the most time consuming task.  If we can photograph the plans, it is not only faster but even more accurate.

I photograph the exterior from six different angles and then go on to shoot yard, landscaping, pools and any other points of interest. The interior is next and I shoot stills in all rooms of the house unless requested otherwise.

I then do 360 degree pans in the largest spaces in the house, using a more normal wide angle lens with flash to give an undistorted view of the space. I finish by doing 360 degree pans in the back and the front of the house.  We are limited by nothing but time, and we allow up to an hour to thoroughly photograph the house.

We then process the tour by editing each photograph for its best appearance on the web and then link the photo to the appropriate room in the floorplan that Nicholas has made from the drawing on site.
